Mick RonsonMick Ronson (May 26, 1946 - April 30, 1993), born in Hull, Yorkshire, was a lead guitarist who rose to fame with David Bowie on the Ziggy Stardust album. He also co-produced Lou Reed's album Transformer with Bowie and played piano on the song "Perfect Day". Ronson later released three solo albums and was a long-time collaborator with Ian Hunter. Besides Bowie and Hunter, he worked as a musician, writer and producer with many other acts including The Wildhearts, Elton John, Bob Dylan, and John Cougar Mellencamp. He died of liver cancer.
