michael chiklis

Michael Chiklis, (born August 30 1963), is an American stage and television actor. He is best known for starring in two popular, but highly different, television series: The Commish (1991-1995) and The Shield (2002-). Chiklis began his career on the stage and portrayed tragic comic John Belushi in the controverisal 1989 film Wired. Although The Shield has been controversial because of its violent content, Chiklis's acting has been highly praised and he has won several awards for portraying Detective Vic Mackey. He also did the voice of Chihiro's nather, Akio, in the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. In 2005 he will star in Fantastic Four as The Thing.
