Michael C. HallMichael C. Hall (b. 1 February 1971) is an American actor. He was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, graduated Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, in 1993, and went to New York City to enter graduate studies at New York University's Master of Fine Arts program. Off-Broadway he appeared on-stage in Macbeth and Cymbeline at the New York Shakespeare Festival, and in Timon of Athens and Henry V at the New York Public Theater, The English Teachers at the Manhattan Class Company, and the controversial play Corpus Christi at the Manhattan Theatre Club. He also performed in the workshop production of what was then known as Sondheims's Wise Guys, which has now metamorphosed into Bounce.1 In Los Angeles he appeared in Skylight at the Mark Taper Forum. On Broadway he appeared as the Emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54. He is best known as the gay brother, David Fisher, in the HBO series about a family which runs a funeral home, Six Feet Under. He married actress Amy Spanger in 2002, and appeared with her on Broadway in the musical Chicago. In addition to four seasons of Six Feet Under, he has been seen on film in Paycheck and Bereft.
