Mercury, Nevada

Mercury is a city in Nevada, USA, northwest of Las Vegas. It neighbours the Nellis Air Force Range and Nevada Test Site. Mercury includes numerous housing areas for the staff of the test Site. In 1957 in the proximity of Mercury (at 3640' northern latitude and 11559' western length) several Asp rockets were launched to study the explosion clouds of the atomic bombs in Operation Plumbob.
