Melanie Thornton

Melanie Thornton (May 13, 1967November 24, 2001) was an American singer who fronted the Eurodance act La Bouche who had hits with Be My Lover and Sweet Dreams in the mid-1990s. She forged a moderately successful solo career in Germany before her tragic death in November 2001. Her hits include "Sweet Dreams", "Wonderful Dream" and "Be My Lover." She died in a plane crash near Zrich, Switzerland at age 34.
