Manowar (Wargame)

Manowar was a war game by Games Workshop. The game was set in their Warhammer Fantasy universe. The game dealt with the sea battles of the Warhammer world, with each player controlling a set of model ships from one of the races of the world. The game typically used a small number of models with no more than half a dozen per player. Generally, each race had only three types of ship to choose from: a small, medium and large ship. However, some races had special ships such as the Dark Elves' black ark. Two boxed expansions were released for the game: Plague Fleet and Sea of Blood. Extra model ships were sold in small boxes rather than blister packs, which during Manowar's height was how most minatures were packaged.
