Maloelap Atoll

The Maloelap Atoll is an atoll of 75 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is a legislative district of the Marshall Islands. Its land area is only 3.79 sq mi (9.8 km²), but that encloses a lagoon of 375.57 sq mi (973 km²). The population of the islands of the atoll is 856 as of 1999.
