Mallikarjun Mansur

Mallikarjun Mansur (1901-1992) was one of greatest exponents of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana of Hindusthani Khyal singing. A major influence on his singing were his gurus Manji Khan and Burji Khan who were the sons of Ustad Alladiya Khan - the latter is perhaps the most significant figure of 20th century Hindustani_classical_music. His early training was under Pandit Nilkanth Bua of Miraj who belonged to Gwalior Gharana. Two of his greatest recordings are Raga Shivmat Bhairav and Raga Bahaduri Todi. He has also written a book titled "Nanna Rasayatre" (in Kannada) Mansur, Mallikarjun
