Magersfontein

The Magersfontein battlefield is a site of the Battle of Magersfontein, part of the Boer War in South Africa. At the battle of Magersfontein on December 11, 1899 General P A Cronj and his Boer troops defeated the English. The battlefield is located south of Kimberley, Northern Cape Province, South Africa and can be reached either via the Airport|airport road (31.5km), or by national road via the Modder River (47.5km).
