Macintosh Iicx

Half a year following the release of the Macintosh IIx passed before Apple introduced the Macintosh IIcx. Despite resembling the IIx to great extents, the IIcx is quieter (due to its quieter fan) than the its predecessor. The design is also smaller and more compact because it has only three NuBus slots. In fact, it was one of the (very) few Macintosh models which could be set either in a horizontal or vertical position! What also made the Mac IIcx significant was the fact that its components and parts snap into the computer case without the need for screws. This made it less expensive to build, easier to repair, and earned it heavy praise and a warm reception amongst the Mac community.
