M23 Motorway
The
M23 motorway
is a major road in
England
. The
motorway
runs from
London
to
Crawley
in
West Sussex
. Originally, it was planned to start the motorway from inner London, but difficulties over finding an acceptable route have led to its northern end lying just south of
Coulsdon
, in
Surrey
. From there, the road runs south for seventeen miles, past
Redhill
and
Gatwick Airport
to end on the
A23 road
just south of Crawley.
