Loxocemidae

The Loxocemidae (Mexican dwarf pythons) is a snake family, classified in the Henophidia superfamily. It contains only one species, the Mexican Burrowing Python, Loxocemus bicolor. Sometimes this family is classified in the Boidae as the Loxoceminae subfamily.
