Lotis

In biology, Lotis is a genus of ladybird beetle and Lotis is a Species of butterfly.
In Greek mythology, Lotis was a nymph, daughter of Poseidon or Nereus. Priapus tried to rape her and she was changed into a lotus tree to escape him. Later, Dryope picked a flower off the tree Lotis had become, and was transformed into a lotus herself.
