London School Of Hygiene And Tropical Medicine

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM or the "London School") is part of the University of London. Housed in an imposing building in Keppel Street in the heart of Bloomsbury, London, the London School is a postgraduate institution specialising in public health and tropical medicine. It has 1,600 students, plus around 7,000 distance-based-learning students. It was founded in 1899 as the London School of Tropical Medicine, and took its current name in 1924.
