Liverpool Castle
Liverpool Castle

was probably erected in the
1230s
. The castle was ruined during the
English Civil War
and completely demolished in the
18th century
. The site of the castle is at present day Derby Square (Queen Victoria Monument) near the city centre. The modern-day lawcourts on the site were built in the style of a castle.
