Little Global Ring Network For Advanced Application Development

Little Global Ring Network for Advanced Application Development (Little GLORIAD) is a high-speed computer network, with bandwidth of up to 155 Mbit/s (National Science Foundation, 2003), designed to connect the computers of scientists in Russia and China to those in the United States and Amsterdam. For this network, a direct computer link was drawn between Russia and China for the first time in history. As of 2003, it was planned to become operational in January 2004 (Paul, 2003).
