Linguistic Society Of America

Linguistic Society of America (LSA) is an organization devoted the scientific study of human language. LSA was created in 1924 and its first president was Hermann Collitz, elected in 1925. Language is the official journal of LSA. Joan Bybee is the current president of LSA. LSA holds an annual linguistics conference every year in alternating cities throughout the United States.
