Lim Chu KangLim Chu Kang is located in northwestern Singapore, at latitude 1.4367N, longitude 103.7094E. It covers a major part of the northwestern part of Singapore. The area is largely rural and serves as a water catchment area with the four reservoirs of Sarimbun, Murai, Poyan and Tengah. Lim Chu Kang is served by the main road Lim Chu Kang Road and a network of narrow lanes and tracks. The area is largely undeveloped, and is made up of agricultural farms and forests. Besides small-scale agriculture, the area is also used for military training. The small public housing estate, the Lim Chu Kang Rural Centre, at Neo Tiew Road was vacated in 2002 for the Selective En Bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS).
