Liljeholmen

Liljeholmen is a district in South Stockholm, organized into the borough with the same name. In 1860 Liljeholmen became the first suburb outside Stockholm city limit. The district was as muncipal community in Brnnkyrka municipality until 1913, when it was incorporated into Stockholm. Liljeholmen contains industries and offices in rstadal, apartments in Nybohov and Nyboda and Lake Trekanten. New residential areas are being built around the central square and former industrial areas near rstaviken, as a part of several project to enlarge the inner core of Stockholm. The subway lines 13 and 14 stops att Liljeholmen subway station and there are 3 light rail/tramway-stations in the district: rstadal, Liljeholmen and Trekanten.
