Life Goes On

The television series Life Goes On aired on ABC from 1989 to 1993. It sympathetically portrayed the life of teenager Corky Thatcher, who had Down's syndrome, and his family. In later years, the show would also dwell heavily on the issue of AIDS, when Corky's sister Becca began dating Jessie, an HIV positive man.

The song Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da (Life Goes On) is off of The Beatles' similarly epic White Album. It is a lighthearted love song with a story arc over several years. This song was the theme of the 1990s television series, sung by star Patti LuPone and the rest of the cast.
The song Life Goes On is off of 2Pac's chart-busting album All Eyez on Me. It is 2Pac's eulogy to his murdered friends, Kato and Mental.
