Liem Swie King

Liem Swee King (林水鏡) (born February 28, 1956) is an Indonesian badminton ex-player, one of the major world players in the late 1970s and 1980s who competes in both singles and doubles event. He is of Chinese ethnicity. Known for his aggressive play and the speed and ferocity of his smashes, Liem won the All-England Men Singles Championships in 1978, 1979 and 1981. He also won the Thomas Cup with Indonesia in 1976, 1979 and 1984. He eventually retired from the professional game in 1988. Liem was inducted into the International Badminton Federation Hall of Fame in 2002.
