Leslie Stuart

Leslie Stuart (1864-1928) was an English composer of early musical theatre, best known for the hit show Florodora (1899). Born in Southport as Thomas Augustine Barrett, whilst working as organist at Salford Cathedral, he composed 'minstrel' songs under the synonyms Lester Barrett and, most notably, Leslie Stuart.
