Leroy Neiman

LeRoy Neiman (born June 8, 1927) is an American artist known for his brilliantly colorful, semi-abstract paintings and screen prints of athletes, sporting events, and other pop culture subjects. He is one of the most successful contemporary illustrators. Neiman was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (where he also later taught), the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois.
