Laura D'andrea Tyson

Laura D'Andrea Tyson is currently Dean of the London Business School. From 1998 to 2001, she was Dean of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Tyson served in the Clinton Administration as Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisors from 1993 to 1995 and Chairman of the National Economic Council from 1995 to 1996. She has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations since 1987. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in economics from Smith College in 1969 and earned her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974. She joined the faculty of the economic department at Princeton University in 1974 and remained in the position until 1977 when she became a professor of economics at UC Berkeley. She was appointed a professor of business administration in 1990. She has published a number of books on industrial competitiveness and trade, including Who's Bashing Whom? Trade Conflict in High Technology Industries.
