Larvik

Larvik is a municipality in the county of Vestfold, Norway. The municipality covers an area of 530 km. The district also includes the villages Stavern, Nevlunghavn, Helgeroa, Kvelde, Hvarnes and Tjlling, and the well of Farris. Larvik has a daily ferry connection to Frederikshavn in Denmark. Larvik houses the Treschow estate which is currently owned by Mille-Marie Treschow, the richest woman in Norway. The world's most northern natural occurrence of beech trees (Fagus sylvatica) in Bkeskogen (Beech Tree Forest).
