History Lamont was officially incorporated on October 22, 1910. Geography is located at 47°12'2" North, 117°54'16" West (47.200456, -117.904513). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 106 people, 35 households, and 26 families residing in the town. The population density is 141.1/km² (369.0/mi²). There are 38 housing units at an average density of 50.6/km² (132.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 94.34% White, 0.00% African American, 4.72% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.94% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 35 households out of which 51.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.4% are married couples living together, 11.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% are non-families. 20.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.03 and the average family size is 3.54. In the town the population is spread out with 37.7% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 13.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
