Lady Davina Lewis

The Lady Davina Elizabeth Alice Benedikte Lewis, ne Windsor, is the eldest daughter of HRH The Duke of Gloucester. She was born at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London on November 19, 1977. She is currently 20th in line to the throne. Lady Davina was educated at Kensington Preparatory School in Notting Hill, followed by St George's School in Ascot, Berkshire. She is a graduate of the University of the West of England with a degree in media studies.

Marriage

On Saturday 31 July 2004, Lady Davina married a Maori builder, Gary Lewis, a nephew of noted author Witi Ihimaera. The wedding took place at the chapel of Kensington Palace; Lady Davina grew up in an 11-room apartment at the same palace. Gary Lewis, nicknamed "Gazza", aged 33 at the time of the wedding, is a builder and a surfing enthusiast. Lady Davina, elder daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. She was the second of their three children to marry.. The couple had known each other for four years, having met on vacation in Bali when the future bride had finished her studies. According to news reports, apart from The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, no other members of the Royal Family were present at the wedding. The bride's ailing centenarian grandmother HRH Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester was not present, but was reportedly visited by the newly married couple shortly afterwards. Lewis, Lady Davina
