Geography Conner is located at 48°23'26" North, 122°29'44" West (48.390495, -122.495646). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 15.69% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 761 people, 372 households, and 196 families residing in the town. The population density is 667.8/km² (1,746.7/mi²). There are 434 housing units at an average density of 380.8/km² (996.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 90.80% White, 0.79% African American, 1.71% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.81% from other races, and 2.63% from two or more races. 6.18% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 372 households out of which 21.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.8% are married couples living together, 6.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 47.3% are non-families. 41.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 22.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.05 and the average family size is 2.79. In the town the population is spread out with 20.1% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 29.4% from 45 to 64, and 21.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 82.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 81.0 males. The median income for a household in the town is $42,344, and the median income for a family is $52,083. Males have a median income of $40,074 versus $26,875 for females. The per capita income for the town is $24,308. 11.8% of the population and 8.8% of families are below the poverty line.
