Kym Mazelle

Kym Mazelle (born 1960, in Gary, Indiana, USA) is an American soul singer. She was brought up and lived on the same road as the Jackson Family and knew Michael Jackson's Mother and Uncle. Early in her career, she enjoyed major success in the European house scene and has performed as a member of Soul II Soul. However she is probably best known as the singer of the song Young Hearts Run Free, in the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film Romeo and Juliet. In 2005, she participated in the British version of the reality tv show, Celebrity Fit Club. In which she lost 1 stone, 10 pounds during the course of the programme, as well as tearing muscles in her calf whilst performing a sudden movement during an exercise routine. After it healed she ripped it again, whilst trying to get out of the way of a moving car. In 2005, she released her album, The Pleasure Is All Mine and a single Love Magic. She also began a tour over Britain, in places such as Butlins holiday resorts.
