Kuroki Itei

Kuroki Tamemoto (黒木為楨 Kuroki Tamemoto; 1844-?) was a Japanese general. Born in Satsuma, now part of the Kagoshima prefecture, he distinguished himself in the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). Later, he commanded the 1st Army in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), in which he won the opening battle at the Yalu river.
