Kindersley, Saskatchewan

Kindersley is a town in western Saskatchewan. Kindersley was chosen as the launch site for the da Vinci Project's Ansari X Prize flights in early October, 2004. The town's population has hovered around the 5,000 mark for a number of years; once it is able to sustain a population over this threshold, it will become eligible to apply for city status within the province. In 2004, claiming a population of over 5,000, it did just that but was turned down by the province.
