Kim Stafford
Kim Stafford
(born ) is an
American
poet
and essayist who lives in
Portland, Oregon
. He received a Ph.D. in
medieval
literature from the
University of Oregon
. Since
1979
he has taught writing at
Lewis and Clark College
in Portland. He has also taught courses at
Willamette University
in
Salem
. He is currently the director and artist in residence at the
Northwest Writing Institute
. He is the son of poet
William Stafford
. His many books include
A Thousand Friends of Rain
,
Having Everything Right
and
The Muses Among Us.
