It was released it in February 1983. "Kilroy" was conceived by lead singer Dennis DeYoung as both an album and an accompanying stage show. While the tour was a financial disaster, the album was a top seller for the band. The album's storyline (set in the future) centered around a has-been rock star, living through a disguise of his own, "Mr. Roboto" (according to the album's lead-off song), and caught in a world where music itself has been outlawed. The album spawned two hit singles, "Mr. Roboto" and "Don't Let It End". Track listing - "Mr. Roboto" (DeYoung) - 5:28
- "Cold War" (Shaw) - 4:27
- "Don't Let It End" (DeYoung) - 4:56
- "High Time" (DeYoung) - 4:33
- "Heavy Metal Poisoning" (Young) - 4:57
- "Just Get Through This Night" (Shaw) - 6:06
- "Double Life" (Young) - 3:46
- "Haven't We Been Here Before?" (Shaw) - 4:06
- "Don't Let It End (Reprise)" (DeYoung) - 2:22
