Ken Vandermark

Ken Vandermark (born September 22, 1964) is an American jazz saxophone and clarinet player. He has lived in Chicago since 1989. Vandermark has recorded with many musicians (including Hal Russell, Joe Morris, Peter Brötzmann and members of Superchunk), was once a member of the Flying Luttenbachers, and has led several groups, including the Vandermark 5. In 1999, Vandermark was awarded the MacArthur Fellowship.
