Kara-kirghiz Autonomous Oblast

Kara-Kirghiz Autonomous Oblast (Кара-Киргизская АО) was created on October 14, 1924 within RSFSR from a part of Turkestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. On May 15, 1925 it was renamed into Kirghiz Autonomous Oblast. On February 1, 1926 it was reorganized into Kirghiz ASSR. On December 5, 1936 it was made into Kirghiz SSR.
