Kamewa Waterjets

Kamewa is a Swedish company which was acquired by the British Vickers group in 1986. Acquiring Vickers in 1999, Rolls-Royce plc now owns the Kamewa portfolio. The Kamewa waterjets are still traded by Rolls-Royce under that name and are offered in four versions,
  • Kamewa A
    100% Aluminium construction, primiarily for high performance boats.
  • Kamewa FF
    Small series of waterjets for applications of 6,500 and 160,000lbs displacement.
  • Kamewa S
    For fast ferry applications, e.g. the Stena HSS operated from Great Britain to Ireland/European continent.
  • Kamewa Advanced Propulsion Systems
    Waterjet developed specifically for the Volvo Penta diesel engine.
Rolls-Royce also produces Kamewa and Kamewa Ulstein propellers.
