Kcpq

KCPQ is a television station in Seattle, Washington, affiliated with the FOX television network, that broadcasts on VHF channel 13. Its offices and broadcasting center are co-located with that of KTWB channel 22 on the west shore of Lake Union in the Westlake neighborhood. Channel 13 was originally KMO-TV then KTVW-TV. However, the station went bankrupt in the early 1970s, and went off the air. A new PBS station was launched on channel 13 a few years later by the Clover Park School District. In the 1980s, the station was sold to Kelly Broadcasting. KCPQ was acquired by Tribune Broadcasting, which owns KTWB, in March of 1999. Its city of license is Tacoma, Washington. Its transmitter is located in Bremerton, Washington.
