Kcet

KCET is the preeminent public television station in Southern California. Broadcasting on Channel 28 in Los Angeles, the studio is located at 4401 West Sunset Boulevard. Hallmark programs include Life & Times and Huell Howser's California's Gold. They also produce the weekday program The Tavis Smiley Show and recently, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, have produced a six-part miniseries in conjunction with the BBC called Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State. KCET purchased the property for their studio in Los Angeles in 1971, assisted financially in part by both the Ford Foundation and the Michael Connell Foundation.
