Jorge Gonzlez Von MaresJorge Gonzlez von Mares (April 5, 1900-March 14, 1962) was 'El Jefe' (the leader) of the Movimiento Nacional Socialista de Chile (MNS, National Socialist Movement of Chile), a politician and author. Born in Santiago of a German mother. He was influenced by Oswald Spengler. On April 5, 1932 he founded the Movimiento Nacional Socialista de Chile to oppose Democratism, Americanism, and Communism. Gonzlez von Mares organized a coup attempt on September 5, 1938, in which 62 young Nacistas were shot to death by police.
