Jon Kyl

Jon Llewellyn Kyl (born April 25, 1942, Oakland, Nebraska) is a Republican Senator, representing Arizona. Jon Kyl went to the University of Arizona, and graduated with honors. His wife is Caryll Collins, and they have two children and four grandchildren. Before entering politics, he was a lawyer with Jennings, Strouss & Salmon in Phoenix, Arizona. His father was John Kyl, a US Representative for Iowa. He served in the House of Representatives from 1987-1995. He was first elected to the Senate in 1994 and re-elected in 2000. Kyl is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Finance Committee, Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Intelligence Committee.
