Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険) is a Japanese manga written by Hirohiko Araki. It is famous for its original drawings and plot. Every main character's name in each chaper could be read as JoJo. It is the long (multi-generational) story of the conflict between Joestar's family and Dio. The story begins from Dio's arrival in Joestar's family. Dio conspires to kill Joestar, but is discovered by Joestar's son Jonathan. The battle between Jonathan and Dio begins, and continues even to his child and grandchild. Two OVA series have been made so far, totalling thirteen episodes. While characters possess superhuman abilities, unlike Dragon Ball, the writer made a choice of not making this a simple game of 'who is stronger?' and instead partially adopted 'Rock, Paper, and Scissor' type of approach. Each abilities were made to be strong or nearly invincible in a way but also had a particular weakness that could be exploited. The group of heroes could by combining their strong points, defeat even the most powerful opponent (to finally defeat Dio, the writer nearly broke this rule as he had an amazing ability). This made the JoJo story long running but not earth breaking story. It is commonly said that when a manga artist got stuck on what kind of superhuman ability a character should have, he or she has to only read JoJo because it is so full of ideas but the JoJo's writer have to think for himself.
