(The cities in bold are the locations of the eight Pokmon Gyms, plus New Bark Town, where the game starts off and where Professor Elm is.) While Kanto is in the east, and Hoenn in the south, Johto lies in the west of the Pokmon world, and is based upon the area around the Mt. Fuji.
