John Porter (Musician)

John Porter is a British musician and record producer. He was born in Newcastle, and was an early acquaintance of Bryan Ferry. He went on to play guitar, bass, and produce for Roxy Music. He has since produced for The Smiths, Billy Bragg, School of Fish and numerous other bands.
