John Cranch

John Cranch (1758 - 1816) was an English naturalist and explorer. Cranch took part in an expedition in 1816 under Captain James Kingston Tuckey to discover the source of the River Congo, and died there. His friend William Elford Leach named a number of new species after him in his description of the expedition. Cranch Cranch Cranch
