John Brown UniversityJohn Brown University (commonly known as JBU) is a Christian, liberal-arts university located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. JBU was originally founded in 1919 by evangelist John Elward Brown. Campus John Brown University's main campus is located on the edge of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The campus contains four residence halls, a student center, five academic buildings, and a cathedral building which also contains classrooms for the humanities. History Organization Students Faculty Sports, clubs, and traditions John Brown University competes competitively in the NAIA Division I and offers the following intercollegiate sports: The university also has two additional sports clubs which compete in baseball and rugby union. In addition, the university offers the following intermural sports: Undeniably, the most common tradition observed at JBU is that of the TP Game. Each year, the crowd honours the JBU mens basketball team at its first home game. When it scores its first basket, the crowd throws rolls of toilet paper onto the basketball court en mass. A newer tradition that is gaining in popularity is Swugby. Each year, the swim team and the rugby club compete against each other at various swimming events in order to raise money for the swim team.
