Jodoigne

Jodoigne (Dutch: Geldenaken) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On January 1st, 2004 Jodoigne had a total population of 11,896 (5,732 males and 6,164 females). The total area is 73.31 km² which gives a population density of 162.26 inhabitants per km². The current mayor of Jodoigne, Louis Michel, a liberal politician was the Belgian foreign minister until 2004 and is now the Belgian European commissioner.
