Jim O'keeffe

Jim O'Keefe is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He is currently the Opposition Spokesperson for Justice & Law Reform. Jim O'Keefe was born in Skibbereen, County Cork. He was educated at St. Fachtna's High School, Skibbereen, University College Cork, University College Dublin and the Incorporated Law School of the Incorporated Law Society. He practised as a solicitor before entering public office. O'Keefe was first elected to Dil ireann in 1977 as a Fine Gael TD for the Cork South West constituency and has retained his seat ever since. During his political career O'Keefe has served as Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State at the Department of Finance and the Public Service.
