Jason Reso

Jason (Jay) Reso (born William Jason Reso on November 30, 1973 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada), a.k.a. Christian Cage, now simply Christian) is a cruiserweight professional wrestler, currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment's WWE RAW brand. Known for his skills in tag team wrestling, and his mic skills, Reso spent several years as one member of Edge and Christian (or Team E.C.) with his storyline brother Edge.

Finishing/Signature Move(s)

Christian's finishing move is the Un-Prettier, a standing inverted double underhook facebuster-like manuever (known before as the Impaler). His other most oftenly used moves also include a Diving Reverse DDT, Reverse Tornado DDT, Texas Clover Leaf, One Man Conchairto, and a Inverted Headlock Backbreaker.

Career

Christian's wrestling career began in 1995 in a match against Zakk Wylde, a fellow trainee from Sully's Gym in Toronto. From very early in his career Christian formed one half of a tag team with Adam Copeland, first called High Impact, later Suicide Blondz, and most recently simply Edge and Christian or Team EC. The pair held titles in numerous wrestling franchises, and Christian held the East Coast Wrestling Association title before signing with the then World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment) in August 1998. Christian had some early singles success capturing the Light Heavyweight championship. But his real success came from the Tag Circuit. Playing a vampire (along with Edge and Gangrel in a group called The Brood) he joined up with the Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness. The gothic angle was successful, however at its end Christian and company began to reach their potential. After an unremarkable run as faces, Team E.C. redefined themselves as a bumbling comic duo of surfer/teenyboppers. They began to hang out with Kurt Angle and captured repeated Tag Team Championships, as well as winning a triple threat ladder match and two TLC matches. Christian's true colors was revealed to the world after he assaulted his on-screen brother and tag team partner Edge. After Team E.C. split up, Christian engaged on a solo career and a series of feuds with the likes of Edge, Diamond Dallas Page, and then most recently Chris Jericho. He also had a brief run in the Unamericans faction with Lance Storm. During of year 2004 Christian has a long feud against former best friend Chris Jericho involving WWE Diva Trish Stratus who happened to be the on-camera love interest of Chris Jericho at the time. Christian had injured Trish on an edition of RAW and appeared in a match between Christian and Jericho at WrestleMania XX in which Trish betrayed Jericho. Trish then joined forces with Christian and "The Problem Solver" Tyson Tomko to make Jericho's life on RAW miserable. His current gimmick is playing himself under the nickname Captain Charisma on the RAW brand alongside with his "problem solver" Tyson Tomko.
