Jason CarterJason Brian Carter (born September 23, 1960 in London) is a British actor, best known for his role as dashing Ranger Marcus Cole on the science fiction television series Babylon 5. Born in London and raised in Gainsborough, a small market-town in Lincolnshire, Carter appeared on stage since he was a child in his native England. Advised to pursue a career in rubber technology, Carter opted instead for three years at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (L.A.M.D.A.). In 1982, he landed his first television role on BBC2s long-running Jackanory (1965-1996) as Hawkwing. He has appeared in numerous television series including Viper, Beverly Hills 90210 and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Carter met Susie Singer, an American actress, while filming in South Africa who later became his wife. Carter is a fixture at sci-fi conventions all over the world, where he is known to command plenty of attention with his hyperactive wit. In his spare time he writes poetry.
