Jason Biggs

Jason Biggs (born May 12, 1978) is an American actor who is a native of New Jersey. Biggs obtained wide fame in 1999 for his role in the American Pie series of films. Jason Biggs began acting at the age of five. In 1991, he made his television debut in the short lived Fox network series Drexell's Class. In 1991 also, Biggs debuted on Broadway. The play in which he worked, Conversations With my Father, helped pave the way for Biggs to participate in the daytime soap opera, As the World Turns. He was nominated for the award of Best younger actor at the daytime Emmy awards for his role in that soap. Biggs attended New York University briefly from 1996 to 1997, but soon afterwards, he returned to pursue his true, professional love of acting. And so he would be seen again in another short lived television series, 1997's Camp Stories. Biggs did not do any other significant jobs until 1999's American Pie, which went on to become an international hit that has spanned two sequels. After that, Biggs has accepted starring roles in movies such as 2000's Loser and others. Biggs has joked in interviews about the fact that he is often cast as an explicitly or implicitly Jewish character (e.g. Darren Silverman or Jerry Falk) because of his features, although he has no Jewish ancestry. In 2004/05 season Briggs portrayed an Orthodox Jew in Daniel Goldfarb's comedy "Modern Orthodox" Playbill staged at Dodger Stages theater in New York.
